"Charming retreat"
"We stayed at this delightfull Inn for a week at the end of Sept 2008 and were blessed with wonderful weather all week. Our little apartment over the bar was just perfect and were able to cook evening meals and breakfast. We had two evening meals cooked by the proprieters wile which were v reasonably priced and excellent inc wine. The inn is situated in Thiex and is an ideal center to discover the city of Vannes and other places in Southern Brittany. A recommended stay by both of us.

"the perfect getaway"
"My girlfriend and I spent two nights in the appartment at the Gorvello Café in May 2008.
We found the place spacious, well-lit, and very clean. It was a perfect getaway from our stressful
city life. The time we spent in Le Gorvello was calm and relaxing. It's a place that is nice to explore
on foot. For example, we walked to the near-by Château and back in just half an hour. The highlight
of our weekend was Saturday's jazz concert which took place right outside, just in front of the café.
It was great to be able to walk downstairs and have entertainment provided for the night!

"Cool Cafe!"
"Have stayed at this village cafe with rooms twice.It has some en-suite bedrooms for bed and breakfast and dinner or a really cool apartment. I have stayed both times in the apartment, the first time on my own with breakfast included and this second time with my partner on a self-catering basis.
The apartment is very comfortable and immaculately clean and sleeps four, there is a well equipped kitchenette, and lovely bathroom, it is really suitable for a family.
The cafe is the hub of the village, very pretty and close to Vannes.
Excellent base for exploring Morbihan and beyond.
Don and Ellen (ex-pat Americans) are very kind and attentive hosts, it is great staying somewhere with such a personal level of service.
Breakfasts by Ellen are delicious and wholesome, fresh fruit,croissants and locally made preserves. Dinner with Don and Ellen, just like having dinner with friends, and lovely home cooking and wine!
Really recommended for a quiet base for holidays, not far from the coast, or the bustling city, it is a real pleasure to stay here.
There are usually cultural events happening locally, many of them organised by Don and Ellen. I have enjoyed a 'Noce Bretonne' and a Music and Arts festival here, and all happening right outside the cafe.
No problem with parking, it is opposite the cafe."
